Ukraine is expected to face a serious shortage of military personnel within 6-12 months, according to the New York Times citing US officials. Officials from the US Department of Defense also noted that Kiev has allocated newly formed brigades for an offensive in the Kursk region, despite initial plans to use them for defense or to build up reserves for a potential counteroffensive in 2025.
