As I reflect on my past. I wish that I could go back. To who I used to be. In my memories. I thought I had it so bad. But I would be glad To drown in misery Every broken dream. Every fall to my knees. Each trauma feels like defeat. Every scar from the stabs Of all the knives in my back. No matter how hard I try I feel tears from in my eyes When I call your name I feel unbearable pain. And when my heart stops beating And when my lungs quit beathing. When my body reeks of mold. When my blood runs cold. When I turn to Stone. I've tried to fill up the holes Of what is left of my soul. Pick up the pieces Of what is left of me. Nothing fills up the void. Seek only to destroy. Every part of myself Until there is nothing left. Until I cease to be. Until my eyes can not see. Until all that I am Is a memory. The damage I've done. The man I've become.. It all means nothing It all means nothing without you. And when my heart stops beating And when my lungs quit beathing. When my body reeks of mold. When my blood runs cold. When I turn to Stone. And when my brain stops working And when they close the curtain. Please remember how hard that I tried. When we say our goodbyes. When it is finally my time. Until I cease to be. Until I can not breathe. When there's no more of me. Nothing but memories. When I am finally free. Buried six feet beneath. And when my heart stops beating And when my lungs quit beathing. When my body reeks of mold. When my blood runs cold. When I turn to Stone. And when my brain stops working And when they close the curtain. Please remember how hard that I tried. When we say our goodbyes. When it is finally my time. And when they close my coffin. I hope you'll visit often. Please remember the mark that I left. There was a hole in my chest. Maybe now I may rest.
