In 2016, a female Muslim @metpoliceuk officer, Javaria Saeed, blew the whistle on Islamist extremists in the force. She was told to get on her knees and beg God for forgiveness. She said Islamist officers lobbied not to criminalise FGM. She was told by her line manager and Professional Standards if she made a complaint, it would impact her career progression, and the Muslim community would turn against her. She met with the then Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Bernard Hogan-Howe, and he expressed that he had similar concerns. Source: Tommy Robinson News
