Oberstein probably approached Kurt sometime in 1956, and offered him a deal to record several albums worth of material (including “theme“ albums on Paris, Vienna, Italy, Latin America, Gershwin, et. al.) for virtually “peanuts“...and “Obie“ was a man who was known to have been invovlved various “shady“ record deals in the past. He kept reissuing Maier's material through 1960, when Oberstein's son sold his father's masters to Precision Radiation Instruments [PRI], after Eli's sudden death in the summer of '60. PRI might have reissued more of Maier's material under various aliases after that.“ Die Rhapsody in Blue ist eine der bekanntesten Kompositionen des US-amerikanischen Broadwaykomponisten George Gershwin. / Rapsodie v modrém (anglicky Rhapsody in Blue) je nejznámější skladba amerického hudebního skladatele George Gershwina. / A Rhapsody in Blue George Gershwin amerikai zeneszerző legnépszerűbb szerzeménye, a dzsessz és a klasszikus zene egyesítésének egyik leghatásosabb darabja.
