Nessebar is a resort town in southeastern Bulgaria, located on the Black Sea coast. The city is one of the oldest cities in Europe, founded more than 3,200 years ago. The old town is located on a small peninsula connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. To the west of it are the New City quarters. The significant coastal strip and its diverse nature create favorable conditions for the development of tourism, which is a leading sector of the economy. They are turning the municipality of Nessebar into the largest tourist agglomeration on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Also in Nessebar is the largest and most spectacular water park in Bulgaria. It was founded in 2006 and has an area of 46,000 square meters.
