Военный Городок Слобудка, ПРУЖАНЫ / Military Town XIX-XXI centuries / BELARUS

Ex-Military town Slobudka in the Brest Region in Belarus is not a common place to visit in Belarus. For me it was important to see it because my Dad served as a military doctor there in the early 80-s. This place, however, is not a typical one. In this town there is evidence of different eras: the Russian Empire (XIX - early XX centuries), the First World War (1914-1918), the Soviet-Polish war and the entry into Poland (1919-1939), the Second World War (1939-1945 ), history of the USSR. Can you imagine that there have been Tsarist generals, Austrians and Germans, Polish lancers, Soviet tankmen and nuclear missiles here!
