It's been a long time since I last created a Minecraft cinematic, so here you go! I played around with Ray-Tracing Shaders and photo-realistic textures, and this is the result! Thanks to UMSOEA for letting me use his textures! You can get his resource pack here: » I used SEUS PTGI shader by Sonic Ether (E12 and E10 for some scenes). The shader is currently in experimental development. You can get it here: » I used Replay Mod by CrushedPixel and johni0702 to record this video. You can get it here: » I just love the look of the Ray-Tracing shaders that are now being developed! In combination with super high-definition textures, Minecraft almost looks like real life from the right angle! At first, I really wanted to record this video using Nvidia ShadowPlay. After I figured out how to record 4K while only having a Full HD monitor, I realized that it grilled my computer inside out. So, that wasn't going to cut it. That's why I looked for an alternative and finally remembered the good old Replay Mod! The Replay Mod can render awesome camera paths, and it does not record your screen but the game scene instead, which makes it possible to get smooth 4K scenes of these 1024x textures in 4K! I didn't get to use the Replay Mod in a project before, so using it for this cinematic was a first for me. But I really learned loving it in the process and can't recommend it enough for recording cinematic scenes! Even though my computer is already a few years old, it still holds up quite well in most scenarios. But this video still did its best to make it sweat in agony more than one time. But in the end, the video still got done- so it was worth it! If you're interested, here is my computer specs: Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K 4x4000 MHz RAM: 32768 MB DDR4-RAM, 2400 MHz, Crucial Ballistix Sport Graphics Card: ASUS GeForce GTX 980 Ti, 6GB GDDR5 Hard Disk: 512 GB SSD Samsung 950 Pro It would have been possible to record most of the footage in this cinematic video with almost no lag in Full HD. However, since I wanted 4K resolution, I still opted for not recording with ShadowPlay and only used the Replay Mod's rendering feature instead! I didn't try to use another resource pack, like Pulchra, or the Continuum Ray-Tracing shader, since I already had enough awesome scenes using UMSOEA's textures. But I might do another video like this in the future, so who knows... I might choose a different Ray-Tracing shader or another photorealistic texture pack! The Stratum resource pack looks awesome as well, especially the 1024x and 2048x versions, so I might take a look! #Minecraft #RayTracing #Photorealism ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe and hit the 🔔! • YouTube: • Twitter: 🎵 Music: “Light“ by Jorge Méndez Song: Jorge Méndez: ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
