In this video, I will be using recycled materials to make an insert for the popular UCO candle lantern to allow you to run it on Paraffin (kerosene) or lamp oil rather than the expensive 9hr UCO branded candles. The result is a highly efficient lantern that burns bright, has an adjustable flame and will run for up to 21hrs on a single fill for as little as 15p. This is a simple, easy DIY project - ideal during the lockdown! Due to the nature of the materials used, caution needs to be exercised while adapting the canister - please use appropriate protective equipment (gloves, eye protection etc) and carry out the project at your own risk. I hope you are all well during the current pandemic. Stay safe and take care. Thanks for watching! Links Richard Outdoors on YouTube Gas Nailer Fuel Cell
