Elon Musk Just SHOCKED Everyone In Texas in His Latest Move! Elon Musk's Starbase is beginning to transform part of Texas. SpaceX intends to extend the Starship launch site through a Texas land swap. What is his grandiose plan? And how the world's richest man turned Texas into “the modern incarnation of a company town.“ Let’s find out in today’s episode as well as the latest launch roundup. Hello everyone! Welcome back to Elon Musk Evolution, where we bring you the most recent news about Elon Musk and his multibillion-dollar companies, space news, and the latest science and technology. When SpaceX launched its huge Starship rocket for the first time in April 2023, it sent pieces of debris thousands of feet across the terrain of South Texas and sparked a fire in a state park nearby. Being bordered by a wildlife sanctuary that is home to endangered species made the launchpad an environmental nightmare. A challenging land swap agreement is currently being considered by SpaceX to extend its launchpad, despite objections from local organizations. In order to “expand its operational footprint around its launch facilities“ for its gigantic new Starship rocket, SpaceX is reportedly planning to swap land in Texas. As per state documentation, SpaceX intends to donate 477 acres (193 hectares) to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in the vicinity of the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge, which is located somewhat north of Boca Chica in coastal South Texas. The town of Boca Chica is located close to the Starship launch and testing facility of the corporation. The department would provide SpaceX 43 acres (17.4 hectares) from Boca Chica State Park, which is closer to the Starship area, in return. There will be a public discussion of the issue on Thursday, January 25. The land debate highlights SpaceX's continued operations in the ecologically sensitive region surrounding its South Texas facilities, even as the business pursues profitable contracts associated with Starship. NASA has given SpaceX the assignment to use its Starship system to carry people to the moon for the Artemis 3 mission in 2026. This will be the first of possibly many moon landings for SpaceX. However, in order to receive authorization for lunar voyages, SpaceX must certify Starship through multiple flights; earlier this month, NASA postponed the Artemis landing date by a minimum of one year in order to address a number of concerns. While SpaceX's Starship and Axiom Space spacesuits are expected to be available in time for the earlier 2025 Artemis 3 landing timeframe, NASA officials have stated that technical concerns were raised with the crewed round-the-moon mission known as Artemis 2. The world's most powerful rocket, Starship, has not yet made it into orbit. However, there have been facts of disagreement from locals regarding the two prior launch attempts and the years of testing in addition. The state's reasoning for obtaining the land near Laguna Atascosa, according to the agenda for the public meeting on Thursday, is that the exchange would allow Texans to engage in outdoor activities like “hiking, camping, water recreation, and wildlife viewing.“ In addition, the newly protected land would satisfy environmental requirements by permitting “greater conservation of sensitive habitats for wintering and migratory birds.“ According to a July 2013 report by the San Antonio Express-News, SpaceX has owned land in the state of Texas since 2003, initially concentrating on a test site west of Waco. Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of the company, discussed his ambitions to turn the Boca Chica area—which the newspaper had called “a strip of salt flats“—into a space that would be utilized for testing and Starship launches during a meeting with the Texas legislature at the time. _ Join this channel to get access to perks: #elonmusk #spacex #bocachica #spacexnews #spacexlaunch #starship _ Hope you guys enjoy this! 👉 If you enjoy this video, please like it and share it. 👉 Don't forget to subscribe to this channel for more updates.
