Palestine Innovation Academy 5th and 6th grade students Mitchell, Noah, Bailey, Jose, Dylan K., Trinity, Lacee, Madeline, Autumn, Samuel V. and Ricky created this documentary as part of a Project Based Learning experience. They put the documentary together on their student iPads using the app Splice. The documentary was created during their study of natural disasters. The students at the Palestine Innovation Academy not only created documentaries to educated others about natural disasters but also to persuade all viewers to do what they can to help the victims. Along with creating documentaries in groups the students also hosted a Natural Disaster Awareness and Preparedness Fair at the campus which raised over $1,000 which was donated to the American Red Cross, collected over 300 can food items which were donated to the local food pantry, and collected over 100 toys which were donated to needy children in the area. The students demonstrated their understanding of the science behind natural disasters
