Our teacher taught Naihanchi for fundamental development. — Chosin Chibana, 1936. Naihanchi (Tekki) was also described as a kihon type kata by Chojun Miyagi, yet, at an advanced level this kata contain many useful combative applications. But the way it is trained is also good for developing the body. Strange that this kata is brown belt to black belt level in some schools.
