Moment Chinese rocket crashes after unexpected launch

A Chinese space rocket blasted off without warning during a test of its engines and crashed into a mountain in a fiery explosion, according to dramatic footage captured by onlookers. The Tianlong-3 rocket, developed by private Chinese business Space Pioneer that is hoping to challenge Elon Musk’s SpaceX, lifted off unexpectedly during what was intended to be a ground test of its booster. Spectacular footage captured on Chinese social media showed the booster stage of the rocket blasting into the air, before its engines appeared to shut down and flames erupted from the launcher.
