I don’t think I have ever heard such a chilling speech from an Irish leader. I play it back & the hairs rise up on the back of my neck. When I hear that the “lived experience” of people who come from outside Ireland takes precedence over the real lives of Irish people colonised for 800 years - the hairs rise up on the back of my neck. When I’m threatened with “hate crime laws both on-line & off-line” for speaking my mind - the hairs rise up on the back of my neck. When I am told the government will appoint an “independent” committee to investigate “racism” (objection to mass immigration/trafficking) - the hairs rise up on the back of my neck. When I am told I will “respect & celebrate” the heritage of immigrants ‘as Irish people’ - the hairs rise up on the back of my neck. And finally, when the words of poet Eavan Boland to commemorate the suffrage of women are weaponised to justify the invasion of men - the hairs rise up on the back of my neck. #SoldiersOfEUDestiny X Link ?@...
