In this video, I’m gonna show you how I made custom #handlettering for a clothing brand. Thanks for tuning in. My name is Kervin. I’m a #Logo and Brand Identity designer obsessed with the process. Let’s start at the beginning. I’ve never done hand lettering before. I mean, not counting the Gemini ambigram from a previous video. For some reason, that whole time, I saw it as shapes, and not letters. Honestly, if you see them as shapes, they’re easier to manipulate. So I’m messing around on paper, trying to come up with an idea. The name is backwards for “Killing Snakes.” The client gave me complete freedom to do whatever I wanted. I was having fun with it. Like I said, I’ve never done hand lettering, but this was still a visual problem that needed to be solved. Things like “balance” and “hierarchy” were important.
