Russia and North Korea signed an agreement to build a highway bridge over the Tumen River, which could help China's Northeast region access the Sea of Japan. The bridge is expected to be built near the existing railway bridge on the Tumen River. China, Russia, and North Korea have been discussing the issue of opening the Tumen River estuary, which has been delayed due to geopolitical tensions. However, with the changes in the international situation and Russia's geostrategic strategy, this issue has finally had new hope. The Tumen River Bridge will be dismantled and rebuilt to facilitate the three parties to go to the sea through the Tumen River.
