The two photographs analyzed here were taken by Rover Curiosity’s Right Navigation Camera on Sol 3613 (5 October 2022) and according to my calculation the two photographs were taken 12 seconds apart. Seen in these photographs is what appears to be an atmospheric anomaly; something like an object moving across the filed of view of the rovers camera. Upon closer inspection it looks like the right part of the object is moving faster than the left part as there is motion blur on the right-side. Or could this object be emitting smoke? Many have speculated there may be flying insects on Mars, could this object be one of those? I also feature a two more examples of atmospheric anomalies photographed by Rover Curiosity in the past. As always, until we get to see these anomalies up close and personal, I can only speculate as to what these objects might be.
