A weaver working on a hand loom near Trashigang, Bhutan. The work is incredibly intricate. It can take her a year and a half to finish a kira (traditional Bhutanese skirt worn by women) and sold for up to US$1300. She has been doing this since she was about 12 years was more than 50 years ago. She doesn’t use patterns, except what exists in her head.
