🤓 Fun tips on Learning the Russian Alphabet (Learn How to Pronounce Russian Letters Ы, Р, Й). From this video, you'll get some insights about how to pronounce the mysterious Russian Ы. I bet you’ll get some laughs out of it, and I hope, you’ll learn something new that you can benefit from. Ы and И are very similar in pronunciation, the difference is that with И, your throat is narrow, and with Ы, it's open wider, just the same as when you're yawning. The sound Э is pronounced with a wider throat, too. Another tricky Russian sound is the sound P. The bottom line is, that when you pronounce Л and P, your tongue gets pretty much in the same position (the tip of your tongue touches the top gum ridge), only with P it vibrates. For many Russian kids, it’s difficult to pronounce P as well, and they'd say Л instead. So you just have to develop the appropriate muscle, the same as you do at a gym. Keep challenging yourself trying to say Pppppp as often as you can, and I promise, you will learn it. You just have to work the muscle, that you haven’t been using. Й (the Short I) has the sound that resembles the Spanish sound [ll], like in the words Llamar, or Lleno. It can be also compared to the sound in the beginning of the word Yoga. Only keep in mind, that it's a consonant, not a vowel, it means, you “stumble“ on it, you can't make it long or “sing“ it. 0:00 - Intro 0:07 - Ы (a deep sound coming at least from your chest, and your lips should be in a position of a smile) 1:03 - How yawning will help you pronounce Ы 1:42 - How cows will help you pronounce Ы 1:58 - Р (your tongue touches the top gum ridge, vibrates) 2:40 - Й The difference between И and Й is explained here: (1:31) 3:00 - Д, Т, Л, Н (the tip of your tongue should touch your upper teeth) ___ Earn $10 free ITALKI credit: ✅ You can contact me and SCHEDULE a LESSON via email: RussianComprehensive (at) or here: Find RUSSIAN COMPREHENSIVE here: ✅ Subscribe on YouTube: Facebook: Instagram: VK: ___ Here, you'll Learn Russian with ease and no time wasted 👍 👆 This video is a part of a guided plan for learning Russian: 👉 Russian Alphabet Explained: 👉 Russian Letters Ж, З, Х, Ц, Ч, Ш, Щ: 👉 Russian Letters Ъ and Ь (Hard sign and Soft sign): 👉 Learn How to READ in Russian Once And For All: 👉 Learn How to WRITE in Russian: 👉 Start SPEAKING Russian! 🗣 ___ Music: Special Thanks to my Russian Students Special Thanks to ___ © All Rights Reserved #RussianComprehensive #abecedarioruso #russianalphabet #learnrussian #russian #learnrussianalphabet #russianabc #howtolearnrussian #howtolearnrussianalphabet #ы #russianletters #aprenderuso #ruso #linguarusa #russo #russe #russianlanguage
