This incredible old farm house was built between 1790-1800 for a modestly wealthy family that owned and operated a grist mill in the nearby town. The farm would remain in the same family for over a century. Then the house would transfer hands a number of times throughout the 20th century until ending up forgotten and in disrepair. Originally the front of the house had a large porch and veranda which has since collapsed. Fortunately some of the beautiful original architectural details remain inside like the hand carved fireplace mantels and a unique marble mantel which was quarried nearby. Such a cool huge old stone house on a cold snowy day. Thanks for watching, like and leave a comment if you enjoyed! Thank you!
