How Springfield Trapdoor ejection works

I had several people asking me how the Trapdoor ejects casings, so I thought I'd give y'all a closer look. When the door is opened, it trips the spring-loaded ejector, which launches the case backward. The case is then deflected upward by that little metal nub. The ejector is reset when the door is closed.
