TEEN GARAGE BAND 1966: From Medford, Oregon in the Rogue River valley in the southwest part of the state, currently home to around 85,000 but was a much smaller city back when this was recorded. The area has been known for fruit harvesting such as pears and peaches, as well as timber. This recording is featuring then 13 year old Dennis Chitwood on lead, they performed in places such as the Medford Armory and the Medford shopping center parking lot, as well as the local junior high school. This is according to one of the members, former lead guitarist Bill Pitts who spoke with music historian and collector Chris Bishop from the Garage Hangover website. The song was actually recorded in Portland, Oregon at the Rex recording studios. Enjoy the music and some photos of the US Kids and in and around the city of Medford back in the time period when this song was being played on local radio.
