I volunteer with my local APTA society and give lectures about the life of inhabitants of our town's Victorian history. Sometimes I get dressed to give an example of the man layers Victorian women use to wear. Due to Covid most of our events became Virtual including this video about getting ready for an evening ball. I was asked to create something “flashy and festive“ as this was a Christmas video so I decided to go for red to cheer everyone up during tough times. Everything you see was created by myself with the exception of my chemise, drawers, fan, and gloves which are all extant examples from the 1850s. #victorianfashion #grwm #timetravel #costumehistory
