He graduated in Classical Guitar from the Federal University of Uberlândia, in the class of Professor Maurício Orosco. During graduation, he was on an exchange program in Portugal, at the University of Évora, where he studied with Croatian guitarist and professor Dejan Ivanovic. Igor participated in Master Classes with important guitarists names such as Duo Siqueira Lima (Brazil), Judicael Perroy (France), Rafael Aguirre (Spain) and Marco Pereira (Brazil).
