In this video I show how to program a Honda key FOB transmitter so that it works with the door lock system. If the master power window switch (window control unit) is replaced on older Hondas, this programming must be done. On many older Honda vehicles it is possible to do this programming without the use of a scan tool and I show how in this video. If the programming is not done, the lock/unlock on the key FOB transmitter will not work and there will be no way to turn off the built in alarm system if it is activated. The official name for this procedure according to Honda is Keyless Entry Transmitter Programming. Most newer Hondas, like those with keyless push to start systems, require the use of a Honda factory capable scan tool if any of the remote key FOBs need to be programmed, so if you do not have access to a scan tool the vehicle will need to be taken to a shop that does. The exact vehicle in this video is a 2004 Honda Accord EX sedan. Be sure to subscribe
