His following album Love Language was also nominated for a GRAMMY® for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album, and debuted at #1 on the Billboard World Music charts in its first week. Wouter’s 2021 album Pangaea was nominated in the Best New Age album category at the 64th Grammy® Awards. He received his 2nd GRAMMY® win for his song Bayethe with Nomcebo Zikode and Zakes Bantwini in the Best Global Music Performance category. Over the course of nine albums, Kellerman has steadfastly built on the rigorous classical training of his youth, to create a signature sound that’s earned him both critical praise and multiple awards. He has won a total of eight SAMA's (South African Music Award, the equivalent to the American GRAMMY®), reinforcing his status as one of South Africa’s foremost musicians. Wouter has performed all over the world in places like Berlin, Shanghai, Delhi and Sydney, including three sold-out concerts at Carnegie Hall in New York. In 2010 he performed at the FIFA Soccer World Cup Closing Ceremony to a global audience of 700-million viewers. A 2016 highlight was a performance in Johannesburg for the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and a television audience of more than 200 million. Passionate about teaching and empowering young people, Kellerman has sponsored the living costs for ten children in the SOS Children’s Village in Ennerdale, South Africa for the past 18 years; he has also financed the building of a house in the SOS Children’s Village in Rustenburg, South Africa. For his continued efforts in helping to give these children better lives, Kellerman was nominated by the SOS Children’s Villages for the Inyathelo Special Recognition Award for Philanthropy. ABOUT MZANSI YOUTH CHOIR The Mzansi Youth Choir from Soweto was formed in 2003 with the aim of firstly, affording talented, underprivileged teenagers and young adults the opportunity to proficiently perform locally and abroad, secondly, to create an appreciation of traditional African music nationally and internationally and finally to embrace various music genres. • Performed at 2010 Soccer World Cup - the choir shared the stage with Columbian superstar Shakira and local group Freshly Ground for the performance of the official World Cup song ‘WakaWaka’ at the Kick-Off Concert as well as the World Cup Final. • In 2018 the choir won the Gospel Section of the World Choir Games during the World Choir Games in South Africa where 300 choirs participated. • Performance highlights include international tours to Canada, Denmark, England, Turkey, Scotland, Russia and Egypt, with special performances at the Royal Albert Hall, The Presidential Inauguration, on The Voice and Dancing with the Stars. • We were honoured to share the stage with international stars such as Andrea Bocelli 2010, Josh Groban 2015, Shakira 2010, D’Banj 2018, Celtic Women 2016 and Beyoncé during December 2018 at the Global Citizen’s concert in FNB stadium. MYC’s beautiful, youthful sound, exciting choreography, pulsating energy, vibrancy, and devotion to South African music is an experience not to be missed.
