New York has apparently reached a breaking point, which will see the quality of life decrease thanks to the sheer number of illegal immigrants arriving. This is according to Democrat Mayor Eric Adams, who appears to be a bit bored of New York’s ‘sanctuary city’ status now that it has consequences. According to Adams, as many as 16,000 immigrants are entering New York every month, which the city must ‘feed, clothe, house, educate children, and all the services you would give a normal adult.’ ‘For many months, we were able to keep visualization of this crisis from hitting our streets… But we have reached a breaking point,’ said the mayor, adding that the city was now seeing an ‘erosion of quality of life.’ Adams’ remarks come just as he signs an executive order to restrict the number of immigrant buses sent from Texas. It’s unclear if this will work, however, since Texas Governor Greg Abbott has recently switched to planes anyway.
