Dereham progressed to the next round with heavy rain making conditions tricky. In the 4th minute a good defensive header by Rossi Jarvis sent Shaun Bammant forward who won a free kick 25 yards out. Rhys Logan’s strike forced home keeper Craig Foxall to concede a corner. Jarvis glanced Logan’s flag kick wide. Dylan Wilson and William Bates combined well to win Cogenhoe a corner. Dereham keeper Elliott Pride made a fantastic close range save to keep out Rico Alexander’s header from Archie Elmore’s centre in the 8th minute. The ball was skidding on the wet pitch as conditions worsened allowing players little room for error. Bammant had to receive lengthy treatment after a nasty clash of heads. The Magpies won a free kick on the left but Dion Frary headed off target. Fine passing between Jarvis and Andrew Fiske set Logan away winning another corner.
