The official trailer for HYPNOTIC, a sci-fi thriller starring Ben Affleck, Alice Braga and J.D. Pardo, has been released online. The film, directed by Robert Rodriguez, follows a detective who investigates a mystery involving his missing daughter and a secret government program that trains powerful hypnotists. The trailer shows Affleck as Danny Rourke, an Austin Police Department detective who is haunted by the abduction of his seven-year-old daughter, Minnie. He receives an anonymous tipoff that leads him to a bank heist orchestrated by a mysterious man named Lev Dellrayne (Jackie Earle Haley), who can control people’s minds with his voice. Rourke finds a clue that connects Dellrayne to his daughter’s disappearance and pursues him across the country.
