Author Douglas Murray has slammed “ignoramus” critics attempting to remove monuments that represent history. This comes after a hearing at City Hall in the United States discussed the removal of more monuments; a couple of years ago, the Thomas Jefferson statue was taken down. “If you don’t like our heroes, make some heroes of your own,” Mr Murray told Sky News host Caleb Bond. “Maybe these people just can’t find them. I suspect that is the case, and because they don’t have them, they want to tear down everyone else's heroes. “Christopher Columbus is once again in their sights because we’re talking here about idiot critics.”
