️🇧🇾The Supreme Court of Belarus has found Vladimir Katruk, who died in Canada in 2015, guilty of genocide against the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. This is the first verdict in the criminal case initiated by the Prosecutor General of Belarus in April 2021 on the fact of genocide of the population of the Belarusian SSR. The investigation established 12 episodes of Katryuk’s criminal activity as a member of the security police battalion, including participation in the extermination of the inhabitants of the village of Khatyn.
