The integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) during the advanced stages of architectural projects holds immense significance in achieving efficient project management and control. While theoretical concepts often appear flawless and near-perfect, the practical realm presents a contrasting picture. This incongruity becomes apparent as we grapple with various challenges, both at the human interaction level and in terms of software compatibility. From a personal perspective, I have consistently encountered difficulties when collaborating with construction teams that adhere to conventional 2D plans and a more improvisational approach. In contrast, our design team meticulously crafts models rich in information that hold immense on-site utility. Our relentless efforts to convey the necessity of embracing BIM software and tools to construction teams have regrettably yielded limited success. Bridging this gap has proven to be a formidable task. This article's central objective revolves around fostering effective teamwork and facilitating seamless integration among all project-involved teams. Of particular emphasis is the empowerment of on-site teams to harness the potential of Building Information Modeling (BIM). This empowerment is achieved through the utilization of user-friendly tools that are as intuitive as Excel, thereby ensuring a smoother transition and wider acceptance of BIM principles.
