Rainbow In The Dark (Dio vocal cover)

I didn't even rehearse and was reading the words off my monitor. Anyway, I went and resang it all and used that to double the parts. I thought it sounded good till I went and listened to Dio's vocal track isolated. How does he do that? It's like the sun to my Bic lighter. Night n day. Amazing how he can get so much bite and hint of gravel and I could not do that! Well, maybe with enough experimentation I could have gotten closer. As usual, I pitched the tune down during recording and pitched me back up in mix so I could have a prayer of singing it in key and I think this is even 1 fret lower than the real tune.
