According to Ukrainian and Western authorities, Kyiv has to train and enlist hundreds of thousands of soldiers in the coming months, and it would be more cost-effective to do so domestically rather than sending soldiers and equipment to Poland or Germany and back. The European Alliance would “get there eventually, over time,” on sending more troops to Ukraine.
