Return to Chernobyl - An AI Short Film

In January 2016, I had the privilege of visiting the Chernobyl Nuclear Exclusion zone a few months before the 30th anniversary of the disaster. It was -26 Celsius when I landed in Kyiv and there was heavy snowfall, which gave the exclusion zone an exceptionally eerie feeling. I documented my visit with many photographs. It’s a trip that I’ve never forgotten due to the enormity of what happened at the site. This video is a chance for me to bring my memories and emotions of that day to life with the incredible power of generative AI.
