Paris getting rid of migrants to ‘polish-up’ image in bid to gear up for Olympics In preparation for the Olympics, Paris is seeking to ‘clean up its image’ by removing migrants from the streets. French social workers and gendarmes are working together to transport migrants by bus to other regions of the country, as well as to buffer zones in the French capital’s region, according to statements from social service workers to Sputnik. This relocation effort is part of the final stages of resettling migrants and dismantling their camps ahead of the Olympic Games in Paris. Local media reports show that over 5,200 migrants have been relocated from Paris to other regions of France since April 2023. Source: Global News (EU, USA)
