Played by: xRavenXP The game Hamelin no Violin Tamaki (in fan translation called The Violinist of Hameln) is a side-scrolling platformer made by Enix in 1995. It follows the manga reasonably well but changes are made so Flute is met at the beginning of the story but as the game progresses huge jumps are made in the story. The game requires you to throw Flute and put her in various costumes in order to reach the end of the level. Each costume have one different ability. Numerous demons from the manga appear in the game as bosses. The manga is created by Michiaki Watanabe. Its premise is that a group of adventurers are traveling north to the Northern Capital (. Hameln) to prevent a catastrophe. In this world, music has magical qualities. The main character is Hamel, a 18-year-old main character. A traveling hero who uses a violin - which is the size of a double bass - and magical music to fight his enemies. He can be very rude and cruel, but he loves his friends and family just as much as anyone else. Other characters are Flute (16-year-old girl accompanying Hamel in his adventures) and Raiel (Childhood friend of Hamel's. He is in fact the only human friend Hamel ever had as a child, and became the first human other than his mother that Hamel would trust. Through exposure to Pandora's magical music as a child, he became capable of summoning spirits by playing his golden piano; a memento from his deceased parents.) Movement 1 (The Legendary Hero): 2:37 Movement 2 (Small nameless village): 37:37 Movement 3 (Flower girl): 1:09:39 Movement 4 (Crimsom-Winged Angel): 1:46:35 It is notable the influence of classical music (Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Schubert, Mozart, Haydn, etc) and European architecture. It is an great game faithful to the anime and manga. - Disclaimer: Most videos by World of Longplays use SaveStates!
