'Tip Top' (A Remix of 'Top Cat')

Oh Boy! Here's a fun electro-swing remix of the classic animated sitcom; 'Top Cat' (1961-62) by Hanna Barbera. I really wanted to capture the vintage charm of its famous characters, low budget animation and wacky antics; so I used a lot of tape and vinyl plugins to capture that late 50's/early 60's vibe. The orchestration was also fun, tapping into the 'big band' style soundtrack of the original show. This remix was composed using samples from vocals, dialogue, sound fx and soundtrack from the original series. I also added extra layers of muted trumpets, archtop ukuleles, banjoleles and xaphoons (a wind instrument that has the character of the saxophone!) I don't own Top Cat. It belongs to Hanna Barbera, this is a pastiche work.
