A woman from Uzbekistan attempted to smuggle more than 9 kg of gold in her genitals into Turkey. Turkish intelligence services knew in advance about the possible smuggling and on October 2, at the exit from the airport, they detained 6 women flying from the UAE and the driver who came to meet them. During the search, 82 gold bars weighing 110 grams each, 18 PlayStation consoles and 3 smartphones were seized. Additional examination showed that another 84 gold bars were sewn into the women’s genitals . A Turkish court allowed surgery and all the bars, weighing more than 9 kg , were removed from the women.
