Balham, London. M/S of a dining room with simplistic decor and furniture; Millicent Rich enters and places a large sea fan on the sideboard. C/U of the fan as commentator talks of the harvest of the sea bed that is finding a place in contemporary design; Millicent is Europe's only woman importer of shells. We then see Millicent in a living room; she sits on a simple couch and examines a large starfish; several exotic shells are spread out on the table before her. Commentator talks of the shells making a striking contrast to the right-angled shape of modern furniture by Terence Conran - which is presumably what we see here. She picks up a large conch shell and turns it over in her hands, then a huge Spider shell from Africa. M/S of a three Murex shells and an African bust on a sideboard.
