In 1961, Daniel Ellsberg was a consultant for the Pentagon where he helped draft plans for nuclear war. Years later, he would release the Pentagon Papers, inspire a new generation of whistleblowers and become a lifelong anti-war activist. He died Friday at the age of 92 of pancreatic cancer.
