DONATIONS/DONAZIONI: - US$1 is more than enough to keep this channel on! The Trovatore (original title in Italian, Il trovatore) is an opera in four acts with music by Giuseppe Verdi and libretto in Italian by Salvatore Cammarano, based on the play “El trovador“ (1836) by Antonio García Gutiérrez. Cammarano died in the middle of the year 1852 before finishing the script. This gave the composer an opportunity to propose significant revisions, which under his direction were done by the young librettist Leone Emanuele Bardare, and they are largely seen in the expansion of Leonora's role.
