The McMurtry Spéirling broke the Goodwood Hill Climb record 23 years after Nick Heidfeld's timed shootout record in the McLaren MP4/13. F1 and IndyCar star Max Chilton did a seconds run in the McMurtry Spéirling, resulting the fastest car ever at the Goodwood Festival of Speed today. This baby batmobile is powered by two electric motors and a fan system producing more than 1,000hp and 2,000kg of downforce. When the fans are at full speed, they emit about 120dB of noise, comparable to that of a jet engine at full speed!
