The leaders of two great Socialist states, Al-Gaddafi and Ceausescu, meet to discuss Socialist co-operation, and to sign trade agreements. Libya supplied oil to Romania, and Romania supplied engineers and technical expertese to help build many of the great developments that Colonel Al-Gaddafi planned, including schools, hospitals and agriculture - to drag Libya out of the dark ages it had been in under British and US misrule. Ceausescu had been one of the first to visit Colonel Al-Gaddafi in Tripoli in the early 1970s - we see some images from that visit in this clip, along with another trip to Libya in 1979, along with Al-Gaddafi's trips to Bucharest in 1981 and 1985.
