Meet Ben Grant, 30-year-old former Royal Marine, son of Tory MP Helen Grant. He came to Ukraine in March. Grant, an Afghan veteran, said the fighting was worse than any he had experienced before. His unit, made up of British and American mercenaries and two Ukrainian interpreters, was preparing to attack a Russian-held facility near Kharkov when they were ambushed.
