In this video we'll be testing the highly anticipated RT Overdrive mode in Cyberpunk 2077. This update is labeled as a technology preview and introduces full path tracing into an already good looking ray tracing game. The performance hit is brutal, and CDPR recommends you use a 4070 Ti or above, or a 3090. RT Overdrive has been in the works for quite a while, and it really looks great. This is not something that all games will start using immediately, but more a showcase of what is capable in a current game when full path tracing is enabled. For a great visual comparison, here is the Digital Foundry video on it: System Specs: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (Galax ST @ stock) Intel 12700K CPU @ Stock 32GB DDR4 3600Mhz CL18 Memory Asus TUF Gaming Z690 D4 Motherboard Corsair RM850 Power Supply Resizable BAR Enabled Metrics captured using MSI Afterburner in conjunction with RTSS (Riva Tuner Statistics Server) Timestamps: 0:00 - Intro 1:08 - 1440p, RT Ultra, DLSS Quality, FG On 2:44 - 1440p, RT Overdrive, DLSS Quality, FG On 3:55 - 1440p, RT Overdrive, DLSS Balanced, FG On 5:00 - 1440p, RT Overdrive, DLSS Performance, FG On 6:33 - 4K, RT Overdrive, DLSS Quality, FG On 8:11 - 4K, RT Overdrive, DLSS Balanced, FG On 9:07 - 4K, RT Overdrive, DLSS Performance, FG On (bugged) 10:12 - 4K, RT Overdrive, DLSS Ultra Performance, FG On 11:30 - 4K, RT Overdrive, DLSS Performance, FG On (fixed)
