c 1932 British Instructional Film presentation. Woodlands. Robin is a relative of the Nightingale - we see a Robin then a Nightingale. Its plumage is described. Nests are made of leaves, we see one with six eggs. A hand pulls a branch away to reveal a well camouflaged nest. Bird feeding the young. We hear bird song as we watch the Nightingales bringing food to their young. Nightingale sits on a branch and sings. Young in the nest. Birds in nest with mouths wide open waiting for food. Migration to Africa in late summer is described. More shots of the Nightingale. Revised with the Co-operation of the National Committee for Visual Aids in Education.
