Panzer III Ausf. N SKI Schienen Ketten Fahrzeug. Two or Three SK 1 prototypes were converted from Panzer III Ausf L tanks during 1942 and 43. The suspension was re-configured so as to allow the railway bogie wheels to be retracted into the belly for normal cross-country performance. The drive train was modified so that the rail bogies were driven by the tank engine. The speed on the railway track would go up to 100km.
