I’ve been struggling to spend time making music recently. So last Tuesday, in the spirit of #Jamuary, I thought I would turn on the MPC one [as a sequencer / midi controller] with some synths and see where it goes.... I am quite pleased with the result, warts and all. I am loving the MPC One as a midi controller and instrument. I have already started working on another track as a way of getting familiar with it. Same goes for the Mighty Novation Summit. The track is played in the order it was created, a repetitive phrase on the amazing ASM Hydra Synth, along with Roland Tr8 drums [too much snare reverb] kicks the track off. An awesome bass sound on the Novation Bass Station 2 is next introduced, followed by an animated and evolving string sound on the Waldorf Streichfett. A beautiful and enchanting repetitive phrase on the Novation Summit is the proverbial cherry on the top. Finally my semi-adlib performance, with my own custom patch on the Korg Minilogue XD completes the Jam. All other patches, with the exception of the Streichfett, were presets.
