What do you think? Hi all. This time I decided to make a drawing on a knife. Season 1 of the series Shogun ended not long ago. After watching it, I was inspired to create a design with Japanese motifs on metal. Thanks to patience and perseverance, using simple technology, sitting at home, I created a drawing with a small volume on the knife. Using this easy etching technique you can get a unique item with any image on the metal. For me this is an incredible result, which I am very pleased with. How do you like my work? I used a new knife bought at the store as the basis for the design. Before I started implementing my idea, I painted over the knife to apply the design. I drew a design on the knife. Using a needle and awl, I scratched the design into the paint. Next, I started multilayer electrochemical etching of metal using a power supply. Step by step, layer by layer, my cleaver began to take on the look I needed. Once I was done etching, I used an electrolyte to darken the design and give the design some shading and visual dimension. It was a difficult but interesting project. I was pleased with the result of this work and I hope you liked it too. Dear friends, if you decide to repeat what you saw.
