It is a chronology of one of the worst days in American history, a culmination of over 20 years of my (possibly unhealthy) obsession with this tragic day, as if you turned on your TV right at 7:58 a.m and just watched it all play out on September 11, 2001. This presentation is comprised of news media coverage, home and professional video footage, audio from air traffic control, military radio transmissions, phone calls, photographs, the flight data recorders, flight path recreations, and interviews of officials in charge that day from dozens of documentaries and news sources. It includes audio bits from 1010 WINS and the emotional reactions heard on the broadcast of the Howard Stern Show that day. This is about as raw as it gets, visually, audibly, and emotionally, combining information from multiple perspectives, professional and amateur, into one comprehensive presentation. Video editing is something I've always enjoyed doing and it's all self-taught. 9/11 rattled me to my very core as a 21 year-old young man and I've always wanted to make a film that captures the events and emotions of that day while putting the whole event in proper perspective and context, all produced by somebody who never actually experienced the events unfolding live on TV as I'd slept until noon that day. In 2006, I took my first road trip to Ground Zero, stopping briefly in Shanksville, PA along the way to pay my respects to the heroes of Flight 93. On the 5th anniversary, I and hundreds of others followed Alex Jones around Ground Zero that day as he predictably bull-horned his way around the 16-acre perimeter of the WTC site, proudly wearing my “Investigate 9/11“ tee and chanting “9/11 was an inside job“ with everyone else. When forming my idea for this film, one of my goals was to disprove several claims made in “The 9/11 Commission Report“ and if anything, this film has evolved to the point where it actually strengthens its case. This is NOT a concession that the 9/11 Commission got everything correct; far from it. But it is an acknowledgement that our research got some things wrong, too. I don't speak for anybody but myself and this film presents what I believe to be the most accurate depiction of a day that nobody in this world will ever be able to fully grasp. This film aims for accuracy but I am not a professional film maker nor a historian and as with all historical events, timeline specifics can sometimes be up for debate, even when discussing the most documented events in history. I seek no revenue whatsoever with this film. I just want to share this with anybody who is brave enough to want to learn more about that historic day. NEVER FORGET. Viewer discretion is strongly advised as this horrific subject has never been for the faint of heart or squeamish. This film is dedicated to the 2,977 victims of the attacks of September 11, 2001 and all those who continue to suffer in the aftermath.
